The Rail

The aluminium rail is the heart of the system. It is integrated and firmly connected over the entire length of the structure. The rail is anodized, maintenance-free and suitable for severe environmental conditions. Individual rail segments are assembled and riveted with special connecting sections. In this way, the stability of the entire system corresponds to that of a 22mm steel cable. The main patent (in addition to 3 other patents) contains the rail system.

Various mobile climbing devices are available for ascent and descent, which are employed  at the time of application and hung from  the rail.

HighStep Easy and Protector

The basic model for climbing is the HighStep Easy, consisting of two independent pedals. These are connected via a special mechanism to the rail. The  user’s foot is fixed  on to the pedal by an attachment. When climbing, stepping to the side, inadvertent slipping or hanging from the rail is not possible (safety). During the entire climbing period, the user stands absolutely straight on the pedals, which act as  resting platforms. In addition, the climbing height can be selected differently at each step (ergonomy). The HighStep Protector used in combination with the HighStep Easy represents ongoing, independent fall protection, which connects the user securely to a further point with the rail (additional safety) and in the case of an accident holds the user to it. The Protector is also a personal protective and rescue apparatus.

HighStep Lift

The device functions fully automatically as a personal lift and is powered by a battery driven motor. HighStep Lift consists of a load-carrying portion, on which the user stands secure. The energy comes from a network-independent, replaceable battery, which allows, for example, climbing a minimum of 25 structures 40m heigh without a battery change. Upon descent, body weight is used to partially charge the internal batteries again. The lift is transportable and  can be used in several locations.
