Our fall protection system climbs Europe's highest flagpole in Baku

Home » Our fall protection system climbs Europe's highest flagpole in Baku

Extremely high. Extremely demanding. Extremely necessary.

At an impressive 162 meters, the flagpole in Baku is not only the tallest in Europe, but also a technical monument with symbolic significance. However, its sheer height presents challenges that go far beyond the construction itself. The forces acting on such a structure are enormous: strong winds at high altitudes, material stresses, temperature differences, and the enormous mass of the flag itself – all of this makes the mast one of the most challenging locations for any type of access at height.

A conventional climbing system? Not an option.
Because manual ascent by ladder would not only be inefficient, but above all dangerous – for people and equipment. This is where our real challenge begins: creating a solution that combines safety, ergonomics, and efficiency. A solution that only HighStep Systems offers.

Our experienced fitters and engineers have been on-site since the project's inception. They provide not only technical support during the installation, but also demonstrate a deep understanding of safety requirements and logistical processes. Every module, every screw, and every guide rail is carefully installed and tested – because when human lives are at stake, precision is non-negotiable.

Innovation at lofty heights

Our patented HighStep system is specifically designed for projects like this. It enables safe and comfortable ascents at extreme heights – even in challenging environmental conditions. Unlike traditional ladder systems, ours provides users with a secure and mobile platform at all times. This reduces physical strain, saves time, and minimizes risks.

The modular design of our system allows for flexible adaptation to any structure—whether mast, tower, or industrial facility. Baku demonstrates once again how important this adaptability is: not a standard product, but a tailor-made solution with maximum safety.
